In the latest version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive on iOS, Microsoft has introduced six significant new features.

  1. Real-time collaboration: Your colleagues, friends, and family can work on documents at the same time in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  2. Drag and drop: OneDrive now supports drag and drop for files and folders. You can also drag and drop content between Office applications in a split-screen view.
  3. Support for file application: You can access, upload, edit, and save content to OneDrive using the native iOS Files app.
  4. Universal link support: Microsoft Office applications will no longer prompt you to re-authenticate when you open a shared file.
  5. Extended file previews: OneDrive lets you view over 130 different file types in preview mode. Supported extensions include Photoshop, Illustrator, RAW, 3D objects, and DICOM images.
  6. More accessibility tools: Apple's VoiceOver rotor is now fully compatible with the entire Microsoft Office suite.
