Naps at Work: Proven Solution to Office Fatigue and Stress, Backed by New Study

A recent Opinion Way study, commissioned by British bedding experts at Eve Sleep, reveals that 80% of French workers feel tired at the office. Surveying 1,239 employees, it shows just 2% never experience fatigue, while 72% report it hampers concentration, productivity, and workplace relationships.

The research highlights napping as the ideal antidote to tiredness. Yet in France, cultural views label it a 'time-waster'—only 26% have napped at work, and 80% did so in unsuitable spots, as few firms provide dedicated spaces. Still, 49% believe naps recharge energy, and 59% expect greater efficiency. Acceptance largely mirrors managers' attitudes: 64% support it if bosses do, versus 42% if they oppose.

This poll fuels Eve Sleep's #FrenchSieste campaign, advocating naps for employee well-being and productivity while spotlighting their Sleep@Work device. Countries like Japan, China, and Spain have normalized workplace siestas—could France be next? We'd welcome it.
