In recent months, I've been training rigorously for the Amsterdam half marathon. Last week, I injured my calf—again. It looks like I won't be able to participate. Frustrating, right? Our bodies can sabotage our best plans. Now, I have to slow down, and trust me, it's not easy. Do you feel it too? The world urges you to pause, but all you want is to push forward.
As much as I resist, I know my body is signaling correctly. It's time to ease up—I've overlooked the strain. I'm in the midst of a major move, which is incredibly hectic. Yet, I've been pushing through my training schedule. That 'just keep going' mentality is exhausting me, shortening my fuse. Why am I so stubborn? Who am I proving this to?
