What are the 10 professions in which the French are the least happy?

The Meilleurs-Entreprises.com platform, which specializes in evaluating the opinions of employees of more than 8,000 companies, has just published its ranking of the 10 jobs that make you the least happy according to 120,000 French people. And the result is rather surprising… In the top 3 of the least appreciated professions, we find in first place the clerk of a notary. Only 10.3% of them say they are satisfied with their work. In second position, advertising managers are only 26.5% to appreciate their job followed by police officers (27.4%). In this ranking, we also find:quality operator, ERP analyst, IT specialist, salesman, storekeeper, receptionist and… nurse! As a receptionist, the nursing profession is therefore classified as one of the “worst jobs”. However, these two professions are very meaningful but suffer from difficult working conditions.

A lack of professional development

Analysis of this ranking also tells us that even if employees say they are not very satisfied with their work, 40% of them are attached and proud of the products and services of their company or organization. In fact, for these French people who say they are not very fulfilled in their work, the main reason results from the lack of professional progression which has a serious impact on motivation. Indeed, 7.7% are enthusiastic about the possible development within their company compared to 52% for all employees! An analysis that echoes a recent survey by Odoxa which revealed that 85% of French people would be in favor of professional retraining. So, what are we waiting for to change jobs?
