According to a European Parliament report, 36% of French people now use collaborative platforms—and jobbing is gaining massive traction among them. This emerging trend revolves around peer-to-peer services for everyday tasks. Since 2013, platforms like the recently launched “Mon Super Voisin” app have connected neighbors for mutual help.
Jobbing made headlines in Jobijoba's inaugural barometer, the leading French job search site. In April 2017, it tracked 46,855 paid task-based ads—5% of all listings. Analysis revealed top client demands: moving, DIY, and gardening (49.1%), babysitting (35.7%), and household chores (6.6%). Jobbers, meanwhile, sought cleaning and personal assistance gigs (24.8%), event hosting (17%), and school support (14.8%). Geographically, Île-de-France leads with 20% of offers, followed by Rhône-Alpes (14%) and Pays de la Loire (7%).
Whether for supplemental income, student jobs, or lifestyle flexibility, these platforms are the go-to for boosting earnings. Notably, education and experience take a backseat—availability is king. Ready to dive in?
