44% of Working Adults Say Their Job Impacts Health – Key Survey Insights

According to a comprehensive survey of over 1,600 employees, 44% of working adults report that their current job affects their general health. While 28% experience a positive impact, 16% note a negative one. Those most likely to report adverse effects include employees with disabilities (35%), workers in hazardous roles (27%), low-paid staff (26%), those working 50+ hours per week (25%), and retail employees (26%).

Many respondents also highlighted negative effects on specific aspects of well-being: stress levels (43%), eating habits (28%), sleep patterns (27%), and weight management (22%).
