8 ideas for original breaks to take at work

After a few hours (or minutes) of work, we need to disconnect! Healthier than a cigarette break or better than a gossip break at the coffee machine, here are 8 recreation ideas -for grown-ups- that (really) clear your head.

Thanks to them, you will go to work even more cheerfully, you will be more efficient in the long run and will even strengthen your bonds with your colleagues. So let's let go and have fun!

1. The paper-basketball break. With your favorite colleagues, take balls of paper and stand near a trash can. The objective is obviously to aim for it. Normally, in the beginning, everyone succeeds (except those who have not had coffee in the morning). At the end of each round, you take a big step back and start again. And if you miss the trash can:you are eliminated. Who will go the furthest?

2. The Question For A Champion (of work). With your colleagues, you designate who will play the role of Julien Lepers. This one will be in charge of improvising questions about the life of your work:pointed questions about the job, your building, rumors, etc., everything goes! And whoever scores the most points wins (a coffee or hot chocolate).

3. The beauty break. With your fellow girls (or charming boys), isolate yourself in a room and pamper yourself. We put on our nail polish, we put cream that smells good on our hands, we make up, we reappear, all while chatting about everything we want. The only rule? Don't talk about work. That way, we do good and clear our heads as it should. No!

4. The Near-Perfect Afternoon Break. It's not just children who have the right to snack on Choco BN at recess! So we do it too, but since we're grown-ups, we're taking it to the next level, by launching the contest for the Best snack of the week. For this, you must be 5. Every day, at 4.30 p.m., one of you brings a snack and makes it taste to the others. Flavors, decoration, and why not entertainment:it's all there! Each candidate then gives a score (and can even be filmed in the toilets giving their impressions). And at the end of the week, the snack king is elected. To your recipes!

5. The speaker's pause. In an isolated room, play with your (trusted) colleagues to be the best speaker. Asking for a raise, settling a score with the neighbor at the table, fiery declaration to the colleague at the coffee machine:you have to do your best to win the title. It feels good to let go a little and moreover, it can be a very useful good training...

6. The Lara Croft break. Do you really know all the places of your establishment? Or all the little streets nearby? Take advantage of your few free minutes to play explorers... Arouse their curiosity, while stretching their legs a bit and perhaps even having a little adrenaline rush:we like it!

7. The creative break. Alone or with others, if you like to write, draw or write a score (even play the violin like Sherlock Holmes), put yourself in a quiet corner and let go. And who knows:in the end, we may have achieved a masterpiece!

8. The Meditative Pause. We go to the bathroom (alone), we sit on the bowl, we stand up straight, we close our eyes, we breathe deeply and we refocus on ourselves. Imagine that the scenery around you disappears little by little, that your body also disappears, then your thoughts, that all that remains in your head is a round sun which is reflected without disturbance in a calm and flat sea... Nothing better to purge your emotions and regain lioness strength.
