Print to Any Printer from Anywhere: Google Cloud Print Guide

Printers are infamous for frustration, especially stubborn network connectivity issues. We've all faced those headaches.

That's where Google Cloud Print comes in. This reliable Google service lets you print to any printer from anywhere in the world—as long as you have an internet connection and the printer is set up.

Printers fall into two main types: cloud-ready printers, which connect directly to the internet and Google Cloud Print, and traditional printers, which rely on an internet-enabled device to link up.

For traditional printers, set up using Google Chrome:

  1. Connect the printer to your computer.
  2. Start Google Chrome.
  3. Type chrome://devices in the address bar.
  4. Click Add printers.
  5. Select your printer and add it.
  6. To print, your computer must be on and Chrome open.

For cloud-ready printers, consult the user manual—setup is straightforward and quick.

To print, visit Google Cloud Print, click Print, select your document, and Google forwards it to the printer. Simple as that.
