The job search is not always smooth sailing. Certainly not in times of crisis and unemployment. But if you eventually want to get started, it is important to keep applying. And with applying for jobs, there's one thing you can count on, a rollercoaster of emotions. Here are the 10 feelings that will happen to you when looking for a job.

1. Optimism.
You start your search enthusiastically because there is so much choice.

2. Overwhelmed.
If you look at a job board, there are hundreds if not thousands of jobs. Where do I start?

3. Jubilation.
Yes! You see the perfect job. This is going to be it. The search is over.

4. Despair.
You look at the requirements. A special study and at least 5 years of experience. Shit!

5. Frustration.
It all takes longer than expected and it takes a lot of time.

6. Relief.
You can finally send out a cover letter.

7. Proud.
You did it! You tell everyone who knows about your search that you sent a letter out the door.

8. Depression.
You didn't even get an invitation for an interview, but an instant rejection.

9. Anxiety.
Will you ever manage to find a job?

10. Exhausted
The job search is mentally exhausting.
