Most Dutch Entrepreneurs Struggle with Work-Life Balance, Teamleader Study Finds

Just 24% of Dutch entrepreneurs achieve an equal work-life balance. Meanwhile, 16% report an 80-20 split in favor of work, with 14% each citing 70-30 and 60-40 ratios. For many, business demands far outweigh personal time, according to Teamleader's independent survey of Dutch SMEs.

This gap between ideal and reality is a top concern. Work-life imbalance tops the list of frustrations at 28%—especially among startups—followed by disappointing profits (23%) and client cancellations (22%).

Even so, entrepreneurs rate their personal lives at 8.1 out of 10, with business life edging higher at 8.4.
