Follow these steps to @mention someone:

  1. Open Gmail in your browser.
  2. Compose a new email.
  3. In the body, type @ followed by the first few letters of their name or email.
  4. Select from the matching suggestions that appear.
  5. Their address auto-adds to recipients, including them in the thread.

Note: Unlike Nudge, you can't disable @mentions.

To remove someone later, delete them from the CC/BCC field—otherwise, they'll stay notified on replies.
