How to Snooze Emails in Gmail: Complete Guide for Web and Mobile

As a long-time Gmail user and productivity expert, I've relied on the Snooze feature to manage my inbox efficiently. This powerful tool lets you defer emails temporarily, hiding them until a time you specify—perfect for focusing without forgetting important messages.

Available in the redesigned Gmail, Snooze appears as a clock icon directly in your inbox or in the menu of an open email on the web.

Choose from presets like tomorrow, next week, or weekends, or set a custom date and time.

On Android or iOS apps, it's just as simple:

  1. Open the Gmail app and select the email.
  2. Tap the Menu button (three dots).
  3. Select Snooze.
  4. Pick your preferred reappearance time.

Snoozed emails vanish from your inbox across devices, including web. They'll return with a prominent notification at the top, regardless of original receipt time.
