To create a section group, open a notebook in OneNote, right-click the top bar above the section tabs, select New Section Group, and name it. Drag existing sections onto the group or right-click to add a New Section inside it. All pages and settings move seamlessly.
Click the group name to expand it—sections appear at the top. Use the green arrow icon to the left of the tabs to navigate back up. For advanced organization, nest groups within groups.
Section groups prevent the clutter of splitting large notebooks into many smaller ones, maintaining a clean structure.
