How to Add Animated GIFs in Google Docs and Slides

Use Google Images to find the perfect GIF. Note: You can't search for GIFs directly within Docs, so open your browser.

  1. Enter your search term in Google Images.
  2. Click Tools > Type > Animated to filter for GIFs.

  3. Click the desired GIF to view full size. Right-click and select Copy image address.

  4. In your Doc or Slide, place the cursor and go to Insert > Image > By URL.
