As a long-time Microsoft Office expert, I've helped countless users manage their subscriptions effectively. Office 365 (now part of Microsoft 365) is a powerful subscription service offering the latest desktop apps, cloud storage, and more—unlike one-time purchases of older versions. But with auto-renewal, it's crucial to monitor your status to avoid surprise charges.
Here's how to check when your subscription expires:
1. Head to the Office homepage and click Sign in (top right). Use the email tied to your account—if unsure, open any Office app, go to File > Account to confirm.
2. Once signed in, scroll to the page bottom and select My Account. Under the Manage account section on the right, you'll see your next auto-renewal date clearly displayed.
3. To prevent renewal, click Manage account, then under Renewal Information, choose Turn off automatic renewal (access until period ends without charges) or Cancel subscription (ends immediately).
