Unfortunately, you can't password-protect entire notebooks. Protection is limited to individual sections within a notebook.
Adding a password is straightforward. Open OneNote, locate the section you want to protect, right-click its name, and select Password Protect This Section.
A panel will appear on the right. Click Set Password, enter your password twice, and hit OK. To remove it later, go to Password Protect This Section > Remove Password.
Lock all password-protected sections instantly with Ctrl + Alt + L, or right-click a section and select Password Protect This Section > Lock All.
