Start with a blank sheet. You can leave it blank for manual entry or auto-fill dates as shown later. Our method ensures professional results with minimal effort.
Enter days of the week (Monday to Sunday) in row 3 (leave row 2 blank for the month title). Use autofill: type "Monday," grab the bottom-right corner, and drag right.
Format text to 12pt bold. Days may overflow—select the range, go to Home > Cells > Format > Column Width, set to 15-20.

In a cell above the weekdays (e.g., A2 spanning columns), enter =TODAY(). Format: 20-22pt bold font, Home > Format > Format Cells > Date (customize to show only month, e.g., "MMMM YYYY").

Select all cells above weekdays (including date cell), click Merge & Center. This creates a centered, automated header.

Select 5-6 empty cells vertically (for day height), click Merge & Center. Copy (Ctrl+C) and paste or drag to fill 7 columns across 5 rows (35 cells for a month).

Select the entire calendar, go to Home > Font > Borders > All Borders for a clean grid.

For auto-dates: Enter "1" and "2" in first two cells, select and drag to autofill weeks. Or use formulas: In Tuesday cell, enter =A1+1 (reference prior day), drag across/down.

Your calendar should now look polished:

To fit one page: Page Layout > small arrow in Page Setup. Set Orientation: Landscape, Fit to: 1 page wide by 1 tall.

Preview and print. Next month: Open file (auto-updates), adjust dates if needed, print. For more, see How to Print Excel Spreadsheets on One Page.
